Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Care Director to join our team. As a Resident Care Director, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in an assisted living and memory care community. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors and their families.
Duties:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the independent living, assisted living, and memory care community
- Ensure the well-being and safety of residents by implementing appropriate care plans
- Provide leadership and guidance to the caregiving staff
- Coordinate and monitor medication administration
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Foster a supportive and engaging environment for residents
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity is maintained
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and community resources to meet the needs of residents
- Implement programs and activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dementia care, assisted living, or memory care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Proficient in medication administration protocols
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement care plans based on individual resident needs
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
